This episode features Omar Shaker interviewing Oshan Anand about his extraordinary journey in seeking community. Oshan's tale begins with the renowned Om Shan Tea in San Francisco, follows his prison conviction for MDMA and LSD possession, and leads to his life now, three years after his release, where he's built one of SF's biggest live music scenes: The World Folk Jam amongst many other events bringing people together.
Join us to hear Oshan’s riveting story about the role of community in his life, both in and out of prison. Gain insights into the realities of Federal prisons, learn how Oshan survived by teaching and building connections inside, and discover how he's rebuilding his life after seven years behind bars. His perspectives on life are sure to be both grounding and inspiring.
