Humanizing Others: The Middle East and Beyond
You're invited to a live Gumpcast virtual discussion on FEB 7TH
We interrupt the regular programming to invite you to an important, free, live, and virtual conversation on humanizing others through conflict and tough times.
This symposium aims to foster understanding, compassion, and dialogue in the face of diverse perspectives and experiences.
We will start with Palestine and Israel as we did with Season 2, and move on to the other topics of family, heartbreak, race, and gender.
I invite you to join me and some of our Season 2 Gumpcast guests to have an online discussion about conflict and what tools we have at our disposal to get through tough times and conversations. (Original episodes linked below)

Why I decided to host this, you ask?
Thank you. Great Question.
Well first, we are celebrating the wrap up of Season 2 of the gumpcast, and I want to involve you with a deeper up close conversation with the people I interviewed.
And also…
I’ve been struggling to find the right conversations that are worth having about the Middle East.
I can hold my ground when trying to see two different points of view on any topic, but this one especially gets to the core of who I am.
I keep unraveling, getting angry, arguing, letting go, releasing, isolating, ignoring, and then starting all over again.
It seems that everyone is burning out on the Palestine and Israel conversation and it is no longer “trending” yet the war goes on and the tension in the US is as tight as a belly dancer’s waist.
I have been finding meaning in debating Israelis, not to convince each other, but to understand. I am keen on finding the right expression that generates safety versus othering and luckily I know just the right people to do so.
That is why I have put together this group of Season 2 speakers to wrap up the season by bringing us all to our Humanity through a 3-hour virtual event that will give you some gumption for the conflicts in your life.
We will leave you with new perspectives and tools to give you a fresh perspective.
We would like you to join our conversation live on February 7th, 2024 at 5 pm PST and to ask our guests questions, express your feelings, and challenge their perspectives.
I hope that this conversation gives us all a new way of looking at things that feels fresh and gumptionizing.
If you’d like to get the link to join for free on the 7th please fill out this form and join the conversation, learn new things, and listen to some music. ❤️
We will resume regular programming starting next Sunday with a new health essay on Somatic awareness as we gear up for the Gumpcast Season 2 Finale about Human Expression.
Omar
Hi Omar ! Is it possible to watch the recorded interview after February 7th? Regretfully I am not available at the posted time. I'm curious about this discussion. Looking forward to it !
